Summer is HERE!

May 29 - June 1 (Part A)

Fantabulous Lil' Mama (my mother in law) gave me a Japanese Straightening E.X.C.I.T.I.N.G.  She rocks and now my hair is super straight.  Word on the street is that the Japanese chemicals are much better for your hair and your person.  It was quite an endevour and then there was the whole NOT washing your hair for forty-eight hours (I spelled it out because it felt long) but it was all well worth it in the end.

First Married Memorial Day!  We had been house sitting for our wonderful Foundation Group Leaders (another first) and invited the Smiths and Carsons over to celebrate at the pool.  It was such a fun day.  The weather was perfect.  I tried some new foods - Ms. Jackie has an amazing recipe collection and everything she makes is delectable (I love finding friends like that, especially the kind that will share their recipes with you)  We had great girly time while the boys invented a new pool game and lots of fun with the hubs as well.

Why don't I have any pictures of that momentous day:
a. we were wearing bathing suits the whole time
b. we were having too much fun to think about picture taking
c. both

correct answer: c

Wednesday morning was a brief rude awakening to my summer with a Gifted and Talented course in the morning.  Oh to earn your summer credit as a teacher.  We all read books about a gifted individual and shared with the group - it was a fun little book study.  And...credit received!  SCORE

New thing I love about Jesus - if he can feed the 5000 with just two fish and five loaves of bread, surely he can take care of me (and Caleb) You gotta love what makes an impact when helping out at Sunday School.

New thing I love about Caleb - he will walk all around Wal-Mart and ask multiple workers for a random item I need to complete a recipe even if it involves searching rows we have already scowered.
