Date Night

Watermark has a super fun date night!
First - you drive thru Watermark
and get a fun photo
and a date night packet
(it includes a mad lib for when you are driving
and all kinds of fun questions for during dinner)
Then we went home and got all dolled up
and went out to eat Indian food
(it was my first time)
some crazy fabulous appetizer
I wish I could remember what you call all of this delicious food
all I could eat of my "pizza"
Caleb's selection
Date Nights are the best kind of nights!

NEW news!

Our precious friends the Smiths are expecting their first little bundle of joy and we couldn't be more excited!
So...Michelle left us a little gift
To let us know if they were having a BOY or a GIRL
Card calling us honorary Aunt and Uncle
It's a GIRL!
Can't wait to meet baby girl Smith!

In and Out

In and Out comes to Dallas!
And we were not going to miss out
The Smiths and the McGuires headed to get some grub
We first waited patiently to be allowed inside
Why thank you, nice doorman
(it's pretty hot but he gets paid $21/hour)
I had not had this deliciousness since I was in California in college
(Courtney and Kelli - it is still that good)
FOUR lanes of drive thru were waiting
plenty of help was available
(some of those smiling faces are the "All Stars" from Cali)
animal style is always an option
makes for some HAPPY folks!

McGuires in the Kitchen

Caleb and I love having time in the kitchen...here is what we like to do:
Caleb would definitely choose working with his dehydrator
He might slice up some apples
and get the dehydrator started
Yum!
Or...
he might be in the mood for some jerky
He would shop for a good piece of meat
and slice it right up
Then season it in all kinds of experimental ways
and dehydrate it while our home smells glorious
This was his FIRST time -
they were a little "patty like"
but scrumptious
(and I'm not even a beef jerky kind of girl)
I would rather bake
I might just make Everything Muffins
they are perfect and filling for breakfast
and the batter makes plenty to share with friends
which is just what I did...
I shared them with my new Childrens Team
They were a hit!

How GREAT! Caleb is 28!

You know how I feel about celebrating - and to celebrate Caleb - I LOVE it!
July 11 is his BIRTHDAY!  Woo Hoo!
Here is how we celebrated:
Birthday morning - breakfast in bed and all kinds of treats!
What a funny face - he had been eying those packages for a couple of days.
Caleb had spied this on one of his favorite websites - I sneak bought it!
Most exciting gift of the day - A FOOD DEHYDRATOR!
(insert dream of making beef jerky here)
Birthday work day - surprise Cookie Delivery!  Delish!
(no photo available - I was at work)
Birthday evening - Surprise trip to Medieval Times with two of our favorite couples!
Caleb ALWAYS jokes about wanting to go...
so, I figured if you joke that much - you must be serious!
He was surprised when we pulled up there
and even more surprised when he saw the Smiths and the Fabishes!
We had the BEST time!
Go GREEN knight!
We didn't stop there...fast forward to Friday night!
We went out to hibachi
LOTS of friends joined us to celebrate
Caleb and Josh
all the ladies
the fellas
Matty Fab gave this place a thumbs up!
The birthday boy got to hit the cymbal
He's so fun to celebrate!
